Free scan

Free scan: ten questions to find out where your security stands.

The Ryze Cyber free scan is a questionnaire. You answer yes or no to ten questions about your access, your data, your team and your AI tools. A score out of 100 appears straight away, with your weak points by area. Nothing is tested on your systems: the technical survey of what an attacker sees from the internet is a paid plan, the External scan, at EUR 490 (or CHF 490) excluding tax.

Key point. "Free scan" here means a self-assessment, calculated from your answers. It is not a vulnerability scan, an audit or a certificate.

What does the free scan measure?

Ten questions, spread over four areas. Each question is about one basic measure.

AreaThe question asked
AccessTwo-factor authentication is switched on for your email and key tools.
AccessThe team uses a password manager.
AccessAdministrator rights are limited to a few people.
DataYour backups are tested (you have already restored a file).
DataUpdates to computers and the website are done every month.
DataYou keep an up-to-date list of the company's devices and accounts.
TeamThe team has been trained to spot a fraudulent email.
TeamYou know who to call and what to do in case of an attack.
AI and testingThe use of AI tools with company data follows clear rules.
AI and testingYour website or applications were tested less than 12 months ago.

How is the score calculated?

Simply: each "yes" is worth 10 points, each "no" is worth zero. The total gives a score out of 100. One bar per area shows where your "no" answers are concentrated. The result falls into one of three bands:

ScoreWhat the scan displays
80 to 100Good foundations. An audit will confirm what is still exposed.
50 to 70Some protections are in place, but several important points are missing.
0 to 40Your business is exposed on essential points. Deal with these first.

The calculation is the same for every company. It does not weight the questions by sector or size: it is a benchmark, not a diagnosis.

What does the free scan not do?

What happens after the score?

  1. The score appears straight away. You see it without giving your name or your email. As long as you do not send the form, nothing is transmitted.
  2. You can request a quote. You then give the size of the company, the country, your name, your company and a business email, and agree to be contacted.
  3. Your answers go with the request. The score and the list of your "no" answers are sent with your contact details, to prepare a suitable quote.

The form offers five countries: Switzerland, France, Belgium, Germany and Austria. For a company established elsewhere, write to contact@ryzesystems.io.

What do you do with each "no"?

A "no" is not a fault, it is a line of work. Three of them come first, because they close the most common ways in:

For the rest, the Ryze Cyber Blue Team hardens access and backups and checks every month. See Red Team and Blue Team.
